The exhaust gas feedback regulation method determines the exhaust gas component in the combustion gas mixture supplied to the engine (1), using temperature sensors for detecting the fresh air temperature, the exhaust gas temperature and the temperature of the combustion gas mixture, with subsequent correction of the actual exhaust gas component to match the required exhaust gas component, e.g. via electronic control of an exhaust gas feedback valve (11).
