Electrical power supply for ozone gas generator with programmable logic control unit for fine voltage regulation. An ozone generator (24) has a high-voltage power unit with fine voltage control. The power unit has a constant alternating current incoming power supply (10) to a voltage step-up transformer (12) with a primary coil (16). The secondary coil (22) feeds a high voltage current to the ozone generator (24). The primary coil (16) is sub-divided into two sections (28, 30), with tapping points (32, 34) at intervals (28, 30). Each section (28, 30) of the transformer primary coil (16) may be linked as required with one of its tapping points (32, 34) via a triode A.C. semiconductor switch (14) to the incoming power supply (10). The switch is operated by preferably a programmable logic control unit.
