In re-use of decolorized waste water, especially from the textile finishing industry, by reducing the color, preferably with persulfate, control of coloration and decolorization is carried out as a unit process, so that decolorization is carried out directly in conjunction with the dyeing process, and the decolorized water is re-used as process water without further treatment. Decolorization is carried out directly in conjunction with the dyeing process, preferably in the dyeing aggregate using the existing process heat.
