The plant providing breathing air consists of an air-collector unit (1) with integrated distributor unit (2), both operated from the vehicle. A hose-reel (3) is preferably located on the lower extendible part of the vehicle. Hose-guides (4) are positioned on the extendible vehicle parts. A strain-relief unit (5) and coupling unit (6) are positioned on the upper extendible vehicle part. High-pressure hoses (11) connect the air-collector unit incorporating air-canisters (12) and distributor unit components. Medium-pressure hoses (13-15) join the distributor unit, hose reels, strain-relief and coupling unit. The distributor unit contains pressure reducer (7), valve (8), manometer (9) and ventilation valves (10).
