The method involves atomising the lubricant independently of and separately from the delivery (9') of compressed air. The lubricant is atomised with the aid of an injection pump or an ultrasonic vibration head (12) operated with an a.c. voltage in the frequency range between 20 and 100 kHz. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for minimal quantity lubrication for machining processes
