Particularly for the treatment of scoliotic patients, the system consists of a seat shell (12) and a back shell (14). The back shell is adjustable in relation to the seat shell to the side around a second pivot axis (A) intersecting the seat plane. The back shell is also adjustable in relation to the seat shell forwards and/or backwards around a first pivot axis (B) located approximately in the seat plane. The back shell is arranged on a first bearer (10) which locates on a second bearer (8) accommodating the seat shell and rotatable around the second pivot axis.
