Method to detect faults in ring bearing, especially steel roller bearing

At least one defect in a region from an outer surface of the bearing ring at a position within 2 mm from a race surface of the ring bearing is detected by an angle beam method. A defect in a region deeper than the first defect is detected using a normal beam method, so that defects can be detected in the entire section of the ring bearing.
