The compressor comprises a housing and a cylinder bore containing the movable piston (10). First a connecting rod (20) is connected to the piston and then the outer circumferential surface and the upper surface of the piston are finished off. The first end of the connecting rod can be formed as a spherical area and then in the finishing stage the cylindrical body and spherical area which are exposed relative to the piston are used as the finishing reference.
