The system includes an actual generation power evaluation device for calculating the power output from the armature from the detected armature current and voltage. The system comprises a current detection device to detect a current flowing through an armature of the electric motor, and a voltage detection device to detect a voltage of the motor power supply. There is a speed detection device to detect the motor speed. A setpoint generation energy/power calculation device evaluates a set point generation energy/power to be output from the armature for the energy supply from the voltage detected by the voltage detection device, the speed detected by the speed detection device and the torque command. An actual generation energy/power calculation device is provided to calculate an actual generation energy/power output from the armature, from the detected armature current and the detected voltage. An influencing-parameter calculation device evaluates an influencing parameter to eliminate a deviation between the set point generation energy/power and the actual generation energy/power. A regenerative open-/closed-loop control device is provided for the open-/closed-loop control of the armature current of the motor according to the influencing parameter, upon regenerative braking.
