The system has an ambient air heat exchanger (3) and/or a condenser of a heat pump for heating a working medium i.e. butane, by organic Rankine cycle steam process. An expansion machine transfers heat energy of the working medium into kinetic energy and drives a generator. The generator supplies current to an electric motor of a compressor of the heat pump and auxiliary aggregates e.g. pumps and fans, to produce a cycle result. The generator uses surplus current as regenerative energy. Counter-current heat exchangers (1, 2) pass cooled air against a flow direction of the working medium.
