The renovation entails cutting out and removal of dividing walls (3) between the individual draughts inside the compound shafts (1) and then in the emptied shafts which accordingly are enlarged a new installation of output air conduits is carried out. In the walls locating on the empty shaft work apertures are formed. Before the dividing walls are cut out, all existing output air ducts (7,8) in the residential units are dismantled, the connecting apertures (10,11) are closed in an airtight manner and then the dividing walls are cut out and removed from the roof to the cellar.
