In the closed position, a tongue (9) on the top side of the tab extends via a slot into a cavity (14) in the moving part (4) of the tab. Sliding the moving part into the open position causes the tongue to leave the cavity irreversibly, providing a quick visual indication as to whether the carton has been opened previously.
