A device for producing oxygen-enriched breath comprises an absorber consisting of an outer housing (1) and an inner housing (2) with a fan (4). A sound absorbing unit is arranged in the region of the air outlet (7) of the fan. Preferred Features: The inner housing consists of a metal sheet having a thickness of at least 1.5 mm. The inner surface of the outer housing is coated with a sound damping material (3) having a thickness of at least 15, preferably at least 10 mm. The fan is positioned on vibration adsorbers. The device has an operating sound of less than 45, preferably less than 40 dB (A).
