Surface-wave arrangement having a reduced a function of the properties to production-related inaccuracies

The surface acoustic wave structure with reduced dependence on frequency precision or resonator quality w.r.t. the mfg. inaccuracy of the metal strip width has structures of periodical metal strips (8) on a substrate (4), with seleted thickness (d) of the strip metal. For a preset design, substrate, period (p), metal of the strip, and mfg. process, the structures (2,3: 6,7) assume the value of a specified relationship of the strip width to the periodicity. An extreme value for the surface wave propagation direction, or for the wave reflection on the metal strips of each structure is provided. Pref. the extreme value is separately selected fro each structure. USE/ADVANTAGE - For surface acoustic waves in electroacoustic and acousto-electric transducers, with reduced dependence on frequency precision of resonator quality.
