An austenitic stainless steel with a high resistance to corrosion in chloride - and sulfur-containing environment, and its use

The steel contains, in proportions by weight, of 20 to 30% of chromium, 25 to 32% of nickel, 3 to 7% of molybdenum, 0,35 to 0,8% of nitrogen, of 0,5 to 5,4% of manganese, up to 0,06% of carbon and up to 1% of silicon. The steel can be used because of its great flexibility of the resistance to corrosion, in particular for the manufacture of equipment of the fumes depollution, equipment for the paper pulp industry, for the chemical industry or in oil production installations with sea water, and for the manufacture of tanks of the transport of corrosive products. The steel has a very great structural stability.
