The underwater depressor comprises a longitudinal fuselage (1) to which the end (6) of a traction cable (7) is fixed. It has a wing (3) with a principal axis (YY') perpendicular to the fuselage axis (XX') and fixed to it behind the cable. A fin (2) is located in a plane perpendicular to the wing towards the rear of the fuselage. Towards the fuselage front end and in front of the cable end fixing point is a stabilizer (4) with principal axis (Y1,Y'1) parallel to that of the principal wing giving the whole a canard configuration.
