At its proximal end the body has a connection (3) to cooperate with a rotating cable drive. The drill body is mounted to rotate within a tool carrier. The drill head has a length between 15 and 55 mm, and a diameter between 8 and 30 mm. An end piece (4a) on the drill body may be provided to cover partially the drill head, covering between 25 and 60% of the drill surface. The drill head has an end part which is a truncated cone, and an intermediate part which is cylindrical. The outer surface of the drill may have a granularity of between 0.5 and 1.2 mm, and a hardness between 16 and 40 mesh
