The method which includes a long luminous part (2) whose transversal section is reduced w.r.t its developed length. The luminous part is designed to represent a graphical motif (3). The method uses a transparent rigid material plate (4) of a determined thickness to form a cut-out (5) in the plate which has (a ) a length (L) at least sufficient to engage the luminous part over its transversal length, and (b) a developed length at least equal to a fraction of the developed length of the luminous part. That is to say of a shape adapted to at least a fraction of the motif (3). The luminous part (2) is inserted in the cut-out (5), along its transversal section and on at least a fraction of its developed length.
