The tank has a primary barrier in contact with the product and a secondary barrier between it and a supporting structure with bulkheads (1) lying parallel to the axis of the vessel and two transverse partitions (2). The two barriers alternate with thermal insulation layers (6) and have corner joints in the form of rings. Each ring comprises of a composite beam (20) with rigid metal reinforcement (21) located inside a thermal insulation material (22) and forming a central fixed anchoring zone. The opposite ends (23) of the reinforcement are joined to the supporting structure by fixings (26) carried respectively by a transverse partition and an inner skin of the double shell.
