The coloration of ceramic products for dental use comprises zirconium dioxide with a tetragonal microstructure stabilized with yttrium oxide, using a pigment blend of iron oxide, bismuth oxide and cerium oxide. A ceramic composition for dental applications consists of: (1) zirconium dioxide with a tetragonal microstructure, stabilized with yttrium oxide; (2) a colorant combination comprising iron oxide (0-1 wt. %), bismuth oxide (0-0.02 wt. %) and cerium oxide (0-5 wt. %) cerium oxide; and (3) impurities.
