A user enters a code for an object he wishes to buy into the keyboard, and payment details via a card. The delivery address is also entered and this information is used to prepare an order for the required goods, and the bank card is used to issue the instruction for payment. The machine for selecting and arranging the sale of goods by mail order includes a display window (2) within which there are number of items for sale (01,02,03). A central processing unit (7) is mounted below the display window and is connected to a telecommunication link (9). The unit also includes a viewing screen (3), a control keyboard (4) and a bank card reader (5).
