The suspension comprises a torsion mechanism (8) connecting the chassis (1) and the suspension arm (6) integral with the wheel hub (2). The torsion mechanism operating around a torsion axis (18) comprises a front support (14) and a rear support (16) which receive the ends of several torsion bars (12). The front support is guided to rotate on the vehicle chassis and the rear support can have its angular position adjusted in order to adjust the pre-stress of the torsion bars.
