Deflection yoke for cathode ray tube (CRT), comprises coil separator with horizontal and vertical deflection coils

The yoke comprises a coil separator (11) with a rear plate (11a) and a neck part to which a printed circuit board is attached. A horizontal deflection coils is disposed inside the coil separator and connected to the circuit board, and a vertical deflection coil (13) is disposed outside the separator as is a ferrite core (14). The coil separator is provided with an insulating device (100) which prevents shorting of the ends of the horizontal deflection coil where they are connected to the circuit board. The insulating device may be provided at the boundary between the two halves of the separator. The coil separator may also have another part (200) which ensures a safe separation of the horizontal and vertical deflection coils. The ferrite core may have grooves (14a, b) in which elastic projections (400, 500) on the coil separator engage in order to locate the ferrite core accurately relative to the coil separator and thus correct for misconvergence and geometrical distortion.
