PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to reduce costs by reducing the length of a horizontal deflection coil, and prevent degradation of characteristics by arranging a pin at the horizontal deflection coil. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises vertical and horizontal deflection coils for deflecting electron beams in vertical and horizontal directions; a ferrite core for improving deflection efficiency of the vertical and horizontal deflection coils; and a holder for fixing the vertical and horizontal deflection coils and the ferrite core at predetermined positions. The horizontal deflection coil has a pin(61a), and a length satisfying the range of 180 to 235% of the smallest outer diameter of a neck portion(103) of the horizontal deflection coil.
