The biological probe chip holder consists of a support assembly with an access aperture (18) for the electrode matrix forming the active portion of the chip (12). The assembly is made up of lower (14) and upper (16) supports, of which one has a connector to activate the chip, a series of electrical connections (28) extending along the interface between the two supports, electrical couplings (34) between the connectors and the chip tracks, and a protector to insulate the chip electrically and biologically.
