Continuous coating of a metal strip (B) with polymer compound (P) comprises: (a) putting (B) in continuous defilement on a heated thrust roller (1) with a non-deformable metal surface; (b) applying (P) on the outer face (Be) of (B), with the aid of an application means incorporating the thrust roller (1); and (c) heating (B) before, during and after application by contact of (Bi) with (1). The strip may be subjected to pre- or post-heating to improve the adherence of the coating. The invention also concerns an associated device for coating one or two surfaces, where the application of the polymer compound is carried out between two rollers.
