Shock absorbing structure for railway vehicles has plates of pair with increasing width over length of structure and plates of another pair with constant width over length of structure
Shock absorbing structure is of elongated shape in shock direction (Oz) and comprises longitudinal outer plates (2,3). At least two pairs of plates are located on opposite sides of structure and extend symmetrical relative to median plane parallel to shock direction. Plates (3) of one of the pairs have width increasing over length of structure from longitudinal deformation starting end (4). Plates (2) of another pair have constant width over length of structure.
