P The invention relates to an electromagnetic relay. The relay is of the type comprising a cylinder head (2), at least one coil carried by the cylinder head, a movable armature (9), an electrical contact device actuated under the effect of displacement of the armature, and a cover (1) enclosing the constituent elements of the relay and comprising openings through which the interior communicates with the exterior. The relay is characterized in that it comprises a cover (1) the upper wall of which is produced in the form of a plate (56) permeable to air and to the gases produced by degassing of the plastics of the relay and the face of which internal (57) constitutes a condensation face of the vapors of nitric acid produced inside the cover in the presence of moisture by the electric arcs between the contact elements. The invention can be used for electromagnetic relays.
