The display method consists of writing a graphic element into video memory (MV), rereading the video memory and comparing (Comp) its contents with a known graphic element. The results of this comparison are coded with the graphic element data and sent to a control unit (CU) which decides on any necessary diagnostic procedures on the basis of the coded graphic data set.
