The converter has a voltage input (12), two voltage outputs and a single inductance (18), an input switch (14) connected to the voltage input to control the period for which the input is connected to the inductance, and a one-direction switch (16) between the input switch and the inductance to maintain the current through the inductance. A first voltage output stage (22) is connected to the inductance and first voltage output, a pulse width modulator (26) connected to the input switch, the first voltage output stage and the second voltage output and a second voltage output stage (30) is connected to the pulse width modulator.
