The present invention relates to insecticidal mixtures of chloronicotinyl insecticides of the formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup. 1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl,PPR.sup.2 represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -alkyl,PPorPP R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together represent --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --; --CH. sub. 2 --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 -- or ##STR2## X represents an NH group, NCH. sub. 3 group or represents sulphur, Y represents nitrogen or a CH group and PPZ represents cyano or nitro,PPwith one or more of the synergists mentioned in the description.
