PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent superheat in an air-cooled steam condenser for exhausting noncondensable gas in each heating tube at a vacuum source surely through a simple facility by returning noncondensable gas exhausted from each heating tube to each heating tube. ;SOLUTION: An air supply fan 5 is disposed at the lower section of a group 1 of a plurality of finned heating tubes 2 and steam in each heating tube 2 is cooled and condensed with the atmospheric air and condensates are collected in a lower header 4. Header chamber of an upper header 3 is coupled with a steam ejector 8 for extracting noncondensable gas and the delivery side thereof is coupled with a condenser 12 for condensing steam discharged from the ejector 8. The condenser 12 and the header chamber 3a are coupled through an noncondensable gas circulation passage 13 coupled with a supply piping 18 arranged with an inert gas supply control valve 17. Inert gas supply is increased by means of the valve 17 when the oxygen concentration in each heating tube 2 is increased.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
