PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sealing-oriented airtight device with a simple structure by providing a ring-shaped elastically sealing member in such a manner one side thereof is mounted being sealed on a fixed member and the other side thereof slides on the outer circumferential surface of a large-diameter rotor in contact therewith while a mounting member is fixed at an intermediate part. ;SOLUTION: An airtight device 10 of a large-diameter rotor which seals a large-diameter rotor 11 driven by a rotary power source and a fixed member 12 has a roller chain 14 wound on the outer circumferential surface 13 of the large-diameter rotor 11 and a ring-shaped elastically sealing member 15 mounted on the roller chain 14 through an L-shaped ring plate 16 as one example of a mounting member. The elastically sealing member moves along the outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter rotor contacting the roller chain. Even if the large-diameter rotor is in a can structure and not round truly, with the movement of the roller chain, the elastically sealing member moves and always presses the elastically sealing member onto the outer circumferential surface of the large-diameter rotor thereby keeping the large-diameter rotor sealed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
