PURPOSE: To obtain a triaxial piping test device and test method in which the permeability of actual ground soil is tested with visualization under the triaxial stress state equivalent to the actual ground. ;CONSTITUTION: A test piece 4 is sealed with rubber film 15, on both ends of the axis direction of the test piece 4, pushing pressure equivalent to the original position ground is added, and on the side surface, pressure for binding the hoop strain is added. In between the part for adding the pushing pressure to the test piece 4 and the end of the test piece 4, a spacer 14 which transmits the pushing pressure but does not bind boiling, is put. A TV camera to take the upper end behavior of the test piece is set on the part 3 and the TV picture device 28 and a monitor device 26 are connected. The water passing in the axial direction of the test piece 4 needs to be degased water or water given a back pressure for raising the degree of saturation to near 100% and a large water head difference necessary for the piping test is given to between the supply pressure and the exhaust pressure so that piping test is conducted.
