PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reverse the moving direction of a tool rest simply without requiring a change in the revolving direction of a motor and the moving direction of an endless belt when the tool rest has arrived at its final point of traveling. ;SOLUTION: A cutting device concerned is equipped with a tool rest 4 installed movably relative to a frame 1 in such a way as crossing a sheet material, a rotary cutter blade borne by the tool rest, and a stationary blade arranged so as to contact with the rotary blade, whereby the sheet is cut in a cooperative work of the rotary and stationary blades when the tool rest 4 is traveling. An endless belt 12 is set over between a drive pulley 2 installed at one end of the frame 1 and a follower pulley 3 installed at the other end, and it is arranged, so that the traveling direction of the tool rest 4 can be reversed at the final point of movement of the endless belt 12 moving in one direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
