PURPOSE: To obtain a concrete protecting material, capable of preventing cracking and peeling of films from occurring and excellent in durability by blending a specific unsaturated polyester with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and glass flakes. ;CONSTITUTION: A concrete protecting material containing (A) an unsaturated polyester obtained by reacting an unsaturated dibasic acid and/or its acid anhydride with a bisphenol A ethylene oxide derivative expressed by the formula, (B) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having polymerizable double bond in the molecule and (C) glass flakes. The amount of the blended component (C) is 20-40wt.% based on the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C). In the formula, (m) and (n) denote integers so as to provide an average value of 2.5-5.0 therefor. Cracking, peeling, etc., of films by internal stress due to hardening shrinkage in execution and thermal shock by a change, etc., in atmospheric temperature after the execution can be prevented from occurring and the concrete protecting layer excellent in durability such as weather and alkali resistance, etc., is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
