PURPOSE: To enhance the desulfurizing and denitrating capacity of a carbonaceous catalyst used in a dry desulfurizing and denitrating apparatus. ;CONSTITUTION: Before a carbonaceous catalyst such as an activated carbon having SOX and an ammonium salt adsorbed thereon taken out of the adsorbing column 1 of a dry desulfurizing and denitrating apparatus is subjected to desorbing regeneration treatment in a desorbing column 4, SOX and NH₃ are adsorbed on the carbonaceous catalyst to enhance the desulfurizing and denitrating capacity of the carbonaceous catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
