PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy excellent in fluidity and capable of producing a thin product in high pressure casting.;SOLUTION: This magnesium alloy has a composition containing 10.0 to 13.0% Al, 0.3 to 1.5% Si, 0.1 to 1.0% Mn and 0.8% Zn at request, and the balance Mg with inevitable impurities. Its fluidity can remarkably be improved without causing casting cracks and deteriorating mechanical properties, so that a thin and lightweight magnesium alloy material can efficiently be produced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
