PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a diffused aluminide film on a base plate for gas turbine engine parts, etc. SOLUTION: This method is configured by disposing a base plate 10 in an adequate coating chamber, allowing inert or reducing gas to flow into the coating chamber, and applying aluminizing to the base plate 10 by using an aluminizing process at a practically fixed aluminum activity, such as a chemical vapor deposition. In the aluminizing process, the amount of unreactive aluminum in the coating chamber can be controlled by changing the flow velocity of the gas flowing through the coating chamber so that a part of unreacted aluminum can be swept away from the coating chamber by the gas. The amount of the unreacted aluminum to be swept away from the coating chamber by the gas can be controlled by regulating the flow rate of the gas so that the resultant aluminizing velocity and the aluminum content of an aluminide film 12 can be controlled.
