Clearance measuring method of the V-belt continuously variable transmission

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the measurement value from differing from person to person who performs measuring, wherein the selection of gauge and performance of measuring do not take much time. ;SOLUTION: A V-belt 1 to be measured is placed in the plane surrounded by a stationary table 11, movable table 13, and a pair of belt guides 19, and the operator measuring reads the short axis distance of V-belt 1 (distance between the vertical plane 17 of the movable table 13 and the vertical plane 18 of the stationary table 11) from a distance indicator 16 of a distance sensor 15. The relation of the short axis distance of V-belt 1 to the belt gap has been measured previously using this measuring device and a thickness gauge or the like, and the belt gap is determined upon convertive calculation by applying this relationship to the measurement of short axis distance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
