PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single cylinder type circular knitting machine for a knitted good capable of producing a circular knitted product closed at an end in the axial direction and solving problems that an initially formed edge of a pocket escapes toward the axial line of a needle cylinder without gradually moving toward needles engaging with the edge to make a lowering sinker disengageable with the edge and the transfer on the needles designed so as to receive a part of the initially formed edge of the pocket cannot resultantly be carried out. ;SOLUTION: The circular knitting machine for the knitted good equipped with an apparatus for producing the circular knitted product closed at the end and the method for producing the circular knitted product are provided. The circular knitting machine has a divider 10 housed in the interior of the needle cylinder 2 and the divider 10 is separated from the needle cylinder 2 during the rotation thereof around the axial line 2a of the needle cylinder 2 itself relatively to a needle operating cam and a sinker lowering operation cam 8. The divider 10 has each profile 11 gradually projecting from the interior of the needle cylinder 2 to a wall body of the needle cylinder 2 and the profile 11 is engaged with an end part 31 of the knitted good product present in the interior of the needle cylinder 2 between two needles 4 mutually angularly separated around the axial line 2a of the needle cylinder 2 to slide the part 31 of the product along the profile 11 according to the rotation of the needle cylinder 2 relatively to the divider 10. The circular knitting machine is provided with each sinker 7a for maintaining the part 31 of the product during the sliding in a contact state with the profile 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
