PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material machine body which is light in weight, excellent in fatigue strength, high in reliability and high in dimension accuracy by constituting a machine body of the head vehicle of a super-express train by a composite material and symmetrically dividing the machine body along the longitudinal center line. SOLUTION: A machine body 2 of the head vehicle 1 of the super-express train is constituted by a composite material and the composite material machine body 2 is symmetrically divided along the longitudinal direction center line of a vehicle. The composite material machine body 2 is a curved surface in which the upper surface left and right directions swells upward in a circular-arc shape, has a swollen curved surface 3a in which the center part longitudinal direction swells upward and is formed into a stream surface shape which is inclined gently forward on a curved surface 4 from the rear part of the head vehicle 1 to the front part. The composite material machine body 2 has an operating room window opening part 5 in the middle of the inclined surface 4 and has a headlight mounting opening part 6 on both the left and right sides of the front part of the inclined curved surface 4. Thus, the composite material machine body 2 which is light in weight, excellent in fatigue strength, high in reliability and high in dimensional accuracy can be obtained.
