PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truing method for efficiently and precisely truing a conductive grinding wheel having a part of a ball or a spherical surface as a work action surface, a truer, and a field in-process dressing grinding method using the conductive grinding wheel.;SOLUTION: In this truing device 1, a conductive grinding wheel 3 having a spherical surface as a work action surface is put to get in contact with a hollow and cylindrical electrodeposition grinding wheel 2, the electrodeposition grinding wheel 2 is rotated through a turn table, and the conductive grinding wheel 3 is rotated by a drive mechanism through a grinding wheel shaft 4, while weight is added to the conductive grinding wheel 3 in a vertically downward direction for truing. In this truing, the electrodeposition grinding wheel 2 is formed in a hollow and cylindrical form, and it is disposed to get in contact with the work action surface of the conductive grinding wheel 3 to be capable of rotation, thereby the spherical work action surface of the conductive grinding wheel 3 can be precisely and effieciently trued.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
