PURPOSE: To effectively and properly correct camera shaking to prevent a blurred picture caused by the camera shaking and to display a warning that the correction of the camera shaking is impossible in the case that an accelera tion sensor which detects the camera shaking is broken by a large impact. ;CONSTITUTION: Detection data Ak obtained by the acceleration sensor 6a is inputted in a decision circuit 27 and also stored in a memory 29. When the stored data is not fluctuated for a specified time, that the sensor 6a is broken is judged, and the result is displayed to be warned on a display unit 28. When the circuit 27 decides that the sensor 6a is normal, the data Ak is sampled by a sampling circuit 6b to obtain a blurring correction driving amount by an arithmetic circuit 10. A blurring correction actuator 9 is driven in accordance with the blurring correction amount to drive an optical member for correcting blurring 5 so as to negate the camera shaking.
