PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mold stretching a dental floss on a thread- stretching part with a sufficient tension applying thereto and causing no position aberration in the dental floss in injection molding, and provide a molding method of the dental floss using the metal mold.;SOLUTION: A plurality of handle parts of floss type interdental cleaning tools and cavities 12 modeling after the thread-stretching part are linearly arranged in a mating face of a split type metal mold, a fixed side metal mold 11a is formed with relief holes 21 for tension bar in an outside portion of forked edges of thread-stretching mold grooves 12a of the cavities aligned linearly in a position stretching the dental floss 3, and a movable side metal mold 11b is formed with tension bars 15 energized by springs so as to project to the relief holes for the tension bars in positions opposed to the relief holes 21 for the tension bars so that, when the metal mold is closed, the dental floss 3 stretched in the metal mold is pressurized and tensed by the tip face of the tension bar 15 into a prescribed tension state and synthetic resin is injected to the cavity 12 inside with its tensed state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
