PURPOSE: To obtain aluminum hydroxide widely usable as various fillers and to provide a production method to directly obtain aluminum hydroxide in a process of precipitation from sodium aluminate solution. ;CONSTITUTION: Aluminum hydroxide having 6-16μm average secondary particle diameter based on weight, containing ≤10wt.% particles with ≥30μm diameter, ≤20wt.% particles with ≤4μm diameter and having ≤1m2/g BET specific surface area and ≤1.6 agglomeration index is produced by precipitating aluminum hydroxide from a supersaturated sodium aluminate solution having 1.1-1.8 degree of supersaturation to which ≥5g/l of powdered gibbsite having ≥10 MF value and 3-10μm average particle diameter is added.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
