PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanize the mounting/dismounting work of a ring roll so as to shorten the time therefor by making rolls for rolling bar steel into structure in which a ring roll of an inexpensive material is fit on a roll shaft. ;SOLUTION: The ring roll 2 is supported by a roll supporting base 4 and, on the other hand, a roll shaft 1 is supported on a truck 14. By adding a prescribed pressing force to the shaft end faces of the roll shaft 1 using hydraulic jack type actuating devices 19 which are arranged on both sides and moving the flange 1D of the roll shaft 1 and the stepped part 2B of the ring roll 2 in the axial direction of roll so that they are separated or joined, the roll shaft 1 and ring roll 2 are mounted and dismounted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
