PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder sticking method for lumped food which can uniformly scatter food powder such as soybean flour, sesame, and green laver over the entire surface of the lumped food such as a rice dumpling covered with beam jam and the powder sticking device used for the sticking method. ;SOLUTION: A pan 1 which is rotated is scattered with food powder, which is thus conveyed by rotation and given local resistance to form tall powder stay parts D₁ and D₂; and lumped food F is further sent onto the pan 1 and guided to the powder stay parts D₁ and D₂. The lumped food F is buried in the powder stay parts D₁ and D₂ to stick the food powder on the entire surface of the food.
