PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer or a prepolymer which can treat wool fiber and give shrink-resistance thereto by incorporating a specified ingredient. ;CONSTITUTION: A compd. of formula I or formula II [wherein J is a residue derived from a polyfunctional polyether; K is a monofunctional or a polyfunctional residue derived from partial reaction of a prepolymer of formula III or formula IV and expresses formula V and B is a residue obtd. by di- or polyfunctional reaction between a polyfunctional reactive group and a parent amine of the above described compd. (formula III wherein R₁ is H in all the cases) or a residue of a reactive amino-acryl polymer or a reactive polyamide polymer; Z is a residue of polyol; A is a polyalkylene oxide residue; R₁ is a fiber-reactive residue such as methylol group derived from monofunctional reaction of formaldehyde, an alkyl, H, etc.; (m) is 4-50; (n) is 2-3; (p) is 1 and 2; (r) is the same functional value as that of the group Z; (t) is the functional value of the reaction of the residue B; s is the number between 1 and r-1; (x) is 2-30; (y) is x/(t-1) or up to (x)] is incorporated to obtain a polymer or a prepolymer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
