REDUCTION METHOD FOR METAL OXIDE AND ROTARY HEARTH FURNACE USED FOR THE REDUCTION METHOD AS WELL AS HEATING METHOD BY COAL BURNER OF THE ROTARY HEARTH FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary hearth furnace used for a reduction method of metal oxide which allows the use of coal (powder) to be used as a reducing agent as fuel for heating of the furnace and is capable of solving all of the problems occurring in a coal burner. SOLUTION: This rotary hearth furnace is provided with a heat exchanger for preheating the oxygen-containing gas, such as air for combustion of the coal burner 11 by using the heat retained by the waste gases discharged from the rotary hearth furnace 1, a molten ash swirling device 12 for separating and removing the coal ash in the combustion gases by centrifugal force in a molten state by swirling the combustion gases containing the coal ash generated by the burner 11 and a molten ash treating device 13. The combustion gases from which the coal ash is removed are blown into the furnace 1 to heat the furnace.
